Gold filled is an actual layer of solid gold pressure bonded to another metal, that is at least 1/20th the weight of the total item. Gold filled is not to be confused with gold plating as filled literally has 100% more gold than gold plating. It is very hard wearing and under normal wear the gold will not peel or flake, is much more valuable and tarnish resistant

Love love love my purchase. The sun necklace is a beautiful eye catcher. I wear it everyday and get many compliments. It's a great ice breaker for coversation. I am 100% satisfied.
